Scientific Library Services

This guide includes information on the library services.

We are here to help with your information needs!

The Scientific Library Services have been developed specifically to help you efficiently acquire and manage the information you need. Optimize your research efforts with thorough literature searches, timely news updates, document delivery and/or inter-library loan options, and expert research and resource assistance.

How We Can Help

The Scientific Library offers several ways to get research help, depending on your needs.

  • Schedule a research consultation with a librarian.  You can get help from a librarian from 8:30 to 4, Monday through Friday.

Best for:  In-depth, customized assistance with any stage of the research process.

Best for: General questions or sending the library an information request.

  • Consult our online research guides.

Best for: Subject-specific suggestions for research resources and strategies.

  • Use OneSearch to search across our catalog for books, journals and other library resources.

Best for: Searching across the library's resources 24/7.

Not sure who to contact?  Email NCIFredLibrary@mail.nih.gov and your questions and a staff member will get back to you.  You can also visit us at the ATRF Tuesday through Thursday, call 301-846-1093 or reach out to our staff via TEAMS.
