Our Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan Service specializes in obtaining the information you need regardless of its location – within our collection or from external libraries.
Please provide us with complete information including: complete title of journal, volume, issue number, date, pages, author(s), title of article, and source of citation (where you learned of the article). If not all of the information is known, please share with us as much is possible. Requests for article and books which cannot be filled in the Scientific Library are automatically ordered from other libraries.
For books, please give complete details including author(s) or editor(s), complete title, date, edition (if any), publisher, place of publication, and source of citation (where you learned of the book). The more information you give us, the more quickly and accurately we can locate and obtain the material.
Please indicate any deadlines regarding need for these materials. In general, it takes 7-10 working days to receive materials on interlibrary loan. A staff member will call you when a book comes in. Photocopies will be sent through interoffice mail or in PDF format via email.
Although we will request materials for you year-round, please keep in mind that many libraries suspend loans for a time before and after the holidays in December.
Please contact us for your book and article needs or if you have questions.
